Annual herb with mustard like leaves. The long purplish-green leaves can also be used as a decorative garnish. Pick leaves as regulraly as possible to prevent them from becoming bitter and tough.

Use in salads, pastas, sandwiches, and as a decorative garnish.

Fertilise in spring and autumn. Harvest as required; remove flower heads to prolong the plant life. Plant more plants when existing have flowered or leave some old plants to set seed.
