Santolina offers aromatic leaves and bright yellow flowers in summer on compact slow-growing shrub. It is an attractive foliage plant with woolly foliage in soft, pale grey-silver shades. Can act as an insect repellent. Flowers can be used in floral arrangements. Will tolerate dry period and coastal conditions with some protection from salty winds. A pretty cottage plant. Cut back after flowering.
Planting Guide: Before planting cultivate soil to a depth of 20cm and mix in compost and complete garden fertiliser. Use Oderings Potting Mix for containers.
